Position: Sessional Tutor

Salary: £20-£30 per hour - Self-Employed
Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only (39 working weeks) – Part-time and full-time available
Sessions broken down into two per day (9am -12 / 12:30-3:30pm)

Function of role:
To support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum. To use a collaborative and multi agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people.

Location: Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire
The post holder will be responsible for delivering an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum during sessions to support children and young people's needs. The sessions will take place 1:1 within community venues.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Complete weekly running logs
* Liaise with parents and carers on a regular basis
* Complete half termly progress reports
* Complete appropriate digital paperwork when required

Requirements:
Curriculum: Our learners will fall within the Key Stages 2/3/4/Post 16 platform, curriculum knowledge will be required within these stages.
SEN/D Experience: Employ innovative engagement strategies to prioritise learners’ needs. Understanding of the nature and complexity of SEND is essential, as well as skills in behaviour management.
Driving Licence: The role will require travel across either Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance are essential for transporting learners to various locations.
ICT Literacy: In order to fulfil this role, candidates will require the skills necessary to work independently and record information on a secure network (Google Drive) and safeguarding software. They will also require access to a laptop with anti-virus software, and a mobile phone with WhatsApp.
